you hike through the heart of the Salzkammergut: lake Wolfgang - Bad Ischl - lake Hallstatt - Bad Aussee
arrival by train/plane to Salzburg, after 3 nights at Lake Wolfgangsee, you continue on the Salzkammergut hiking trail to the imperial city and cultural capital 2024 Bad Ischl (18 km), where you spend 1 night. The next day you hike along the east hiking trail to Lake Hallstatt (23 km), where you spend a night in the UNESCO World Heritage town of Hallstatt. The last stage takes you via Obertraun and the Koppenwanderweg into the styrian part of the Salzkammergut to Bad Aussee (last overnight stay). The next day you take the train back to Salzburg
